Syncing Guide
Overview
Syncing transfers data from your monday.com Portfolio board into PSA Core Financials.
You must sync to:
- Update project details
- Recalculate revenue forecasts
- Update actual revenue from time tracking
- Prepare for month closing
Changes made in monday.com do not update automatically. You must run a sync.
When to Sync
Sync your portfolio:
- After creating a new portoflio
- After adding or removing projects from portfolio
- After updating project dates
- After changing planned revenue
- After logging time
- After adding new projects
- Before closing a month
- After closing a month
Recommended: Sync weekly or monthly depending on project activity.
Step 1: Open PSA Core Financials
- Open monday.com.
- Click Workspace Apps in the left-hand navigation.
- Select PSA Core Financials.
Step 2: Select Your Portfolio
- Navigate to the Project Table View.
- Use the Portfolio dropdown at the top.
- Select the portfolio you want to update.
Step 3: Sync Portfolio
- Click Sync Portfolio.
- Wait for the sync to complete.
- Review the confirmation message.
The sync will:
- Create portfolio in PSA
You only need to do this once per portfolio.
Step 4: Sync Projects
- Click Sync Projects.
- Wait for the sync to complete.
- Review the confirmation message.
The sync will:
- Update existing projects
- Add new projects
- Remove projects no longer in the portfolio
- Recalculate forecasts
- Update actual revenue (if time tracking exists)
After Syncing
After a successful sync:
- Forecasts update automatically
- Actual revenue reflects latest time entries
- Project data stays aligned with monday.com
If data does not look correct, verify the values on your Portfolio board and run sync again.
